Everything about Oda is managed in your company's DataMind OS.
Oda has no users of its own: people sign in with their DataMind OS account, and their permissions decide what they can do in Oda. You set these permissions on a role, and everyone with that role gets them.
To give one person different permissions from their role, open the person under Users, go to Permissions and switch from Role-based to Custom.
For people without access, the Download for Windows button in Universe stays disabled.
A set gives several permissions at once. For most people, one set is enough.
| Set | What it gives |
|---|---|
| DataMind Oda User | Everyday use: chats, company data, the browser and scheduled tasks. |
| DataMind Oda Power User | Everything in DataMind Oda User, plus sharing chats with colleagues. |
| DataMind Oda Full Access User | Everything in DataMind Oda Power User, plus Full access mode. |
| DataMind Oda Admin | Every permission in the DataMind Oda category, for the people who look after Oda. |
Choose these when a set gives too much or too little.
| Permission | What it allows |
|---|---|
| Use DataMind Oda | Download Oda, sign in and chat. Every other permission needs it. |
| Use Minds from DataMind Oda | Ask the Minds and work with company data. |
| Use DataMind Oda Browser | Let Oda use the browser. |
| DataMind Oda Scheduled Tasks | Create scheduled tasks. |
| Share DataMind Oda Chats | Share chats with colleagues. |
| DataMind Oda Full Access | Use Full access mode. |
| Disable DataMind Oda Content Logging | Turn off content logging for one's own requests. |
To let someone see or change the company rules below, give them the DataMind Oda Settings Viewer or DataMind Oda Settings Manager set, or the single permissions View DataMind Oda Settings or Modify DataMind Oda Settings, in the System Administration category of the permissions.
Every Oda request passes through DataMind OS and is recorded in its Observability log, with the full input and output and the memories sent with it. People with the Disable DataMind Oda Content Logging permission can choose, in their DataMind OS profile, not to log the content of their own requests; the log then keeps only who made each request, when, with which model and how many tokens it used.
No. Oda uses your DataMind OS accounts, roles and permissions.
Yes. In Admin > Oda > General, add the sites to Blocked sites, or choose Only allowed sites and list the sites Oda may open in its browser. Then click Save changes.
Write it in Organization instructions under Admin > Oda > General, and click Save changes. Oda adds it to every chat in the company.
