Every table in the console carries the same toolbar above its rows. This page maps its controls: the buttons that act on the table, the search, the view settings and the statistics. For the table itself, see Tables overview; for a single cell, Table cells and editing.
On a wide screen the toolbar runs from the action buttons on the left, through the search field and the view controls, to the table statistics and the right-side actions.
Hover a toolbar button to read its tooltip: it names the action, and for a greyed-out button it often explains why the action is unavailable.
The toolbar can show a small line of statistics for the table's last load:
Rows Read: how many rows the load read.Bytes Read: how much data it read.Time Elapsed: how long it took, for example 0. 42s.A table with nothing to report shows no statistics line. When the toolbar runs short of room, the line folds into a small info icon labelled Table statistics, which carries a dot while a filter or a selection is active.
8 of 12 visible. You can also work from the headers: drag a column header to move the column, drag its edge to resize it, or open the menu that appears in a header when the column offers its own actions. The Auto-fit columns button fits every column to its content at once; a second click resets the widths to their defaults.
Search. . . while empty, and a small button labelled Clear search empties it.Clear all filters (3).Where a table offers a card layout, a Table view / Card view switch sits in the toolbar. How cards are laid out, and what the table remembers, is on Table preferences and drafts. View opens View Preferences, with the table's Density and Text Size settings.
Density sets the spacing between rows. The control steps through four levels:
| Level | Spacing | Row height |
|---|---|---|
| Comfortable | Spacious layout | 57 px |
| Normal | Standard spacing | 49 px |
| Cozy | Snug spacing | 38 px |
| Dense | Compact spacing | 28 px |
Text Size sets the size of the table's text: Small (12px), Medium (14px) or Large (16px).
Filter visibility sets when the small filter icons appear on column headers: Always visible, When active or hovered or Hidden.
When the toolbar gathers its buttons into one View settings menu, it carries Auto-fit columns and the density, filter visibility, selection mode and column choices in one place.
Selection mode opens a menu with two sections.
The menu lists only the choices the table allows, and a table that offers nothing to configure shows no Selection mode button. How to select, and what a selection can do, is on Tables overview.
Stack selected rows as comparison cards opens the side-by-side comparison for the rows your selection touches. The cards, the ticking and the Replace cycle are described on Compare rows.
Three controls move data in and out:
Each of them, with its formats and limits, is on Table export, copy and upload.
The toolbar gives up controls as room runs out: the statistics fold into an icon first, then the view controls gather into one View settings menu, and on a phone-sized window only the search field and the export control stay. Widen the window to bring the rest back.
They describe the table's last load: how many rows it read (Rows Read:), how much data it read
(Bytes Read:) and how long it took (Time Elapsed:). A table with nothing to report shows no
statistics line.
It resets every column width to its default. The first click fits each column to its content; the second click undoes that fit.
Open Toggle column visibility, tick the columns to show, and drag the list to reorder them; Reset to default brings back the default set. You can also drag column headers to reorder the table itself, and drag a header's edge to resize it.
The list holds the columns you can hide and reorder. The checkbox column that carries row selection is not listed, and it always keeps the first position in the table; columns that cannot be hidden or have no header label are left out too.
The search counts as a filter, so one click clears the column filters and the search text
together. The button is greyed out while nothing is active, and its tooltip counts what will be
cleared, for example Clear all filters (3).
Open Selection mode and switch on Enable Cell Selection. Cell selection works instead of row selection: you use one or the other; how to select and what a selection can do is on Tables overview.
Card view shows rows as cards, so the controls that shape the table layout are hidden there: the column menu, Auto-fit columns, the density control and Selection mode. Switch back to Table view to use them.
It needs a selection first. Select rows and the button shows how many you picked; clicking it removes those rows and clears the selection.
Use Refresh data in the toolbar; its icon spins while the table loads again.
