Finish company setup

When an Administrator opens a company whose setup is not finished, the wizard Finish setting up your company opens with three steps: API key, Billing requisite and Pricing plan. When all three are done, the wizard closes and the console opens. You can change each choice later in Settings and Pricing.

Create the API key

The API key connects your company to DataMind Platform. DataMind OS uses it for its AI features, and your own applications use it to call the API.

  1. Click Create API key.
  2. Enter a Name and click Create key.
  3. In API key created, copy the key: this is the only time the full key is shown. Then click Done.
  4. Paste it in DataMind OS under Administration → AI Configuration to turn on its AI features.

If your company already has an active key, the step shows Active API key is ready. Click Continue.

Choose the billing requisite

Click the DataMind bank account your company pays its invoices to; the wizard moves to the next step. The options are DataMind's accounts and differ by bank and currency. Your company's own legal details go in Settings.

If an account is already selected, the step shows it. Click Continue.

If the step shows No billing requisites available, DataMind has not added the options for your company yet. Once DataMind confirms they are ready, click Check again.

Select the pricing plan

Compare the plans offered to your company, then:

  1. Click Select plan on a plan.
  2. Click Select plan again in the dialog to confirm. The step then shows your current billing window, where you can also set the spend cap.
  3. Click Finish setup.

If the step shows No plans offered yet, DataMind has not added plans for your company yet. Once DataMind confirms they are ready, click Check again.

What a Viewer sees

Only an Administrator can finish the setup. Until then, a Viewer sees Setup is not finished. Click Check again after your Administrator has finished, or Sign in with a different user to switch to an Administrator account.
