Your profile holds your name, photo and password, the permissions you have and your display preferences. Use it to manage your own account. Administrators manage other people's accounts in Users.
Your profile shows your photo, name and email. Your email is read-only. Quick actions sit under your email: Add photo or Change photo, Change password or Set up password, and the two-factor actions Set up 2FA, Disable 2FA and Regenerate recovery codes. Two-factor authentication explains the 2FA ones. Close your profile with Close profile when you are done.
If password sign-in to your account is locked after too many failed attempts, Password locked appears next to your name, here and in the account menu. Its tooltip tells you to contact your administrator, or to wait until your account is unlocked.
Click to edit name. Are you sure you want to change your name to ". . . "?, with your new name filled in.Press Esc to cancel. A blank name cannot be saved, and saving the name you already have does nothing. When the change succeeds, DataMind OS shows "Your name has been updated."
Changing your name needs the Modify User Name permission, or Modify User Permissions. If your roles include neither, the change fails. Ask your administrator to check your roles.
When the photo saves, DataMind OS shows "Profile photo updated." and your photo appears at the bottom of the sidebar. The photo is cropped to a circle. To remove it, use the remove button on your photo and answer the confirmation Are you sure you want to remove your profile photo?. DataMind OS shows "Profile photo removed."
The button stays disabled until you change a field. When the change succeeds, DataMind OS shows "Your password has been updated." The bar and checklist under New Password update as you type. For the password rules, see Sign in and sign out.
Your SQL tools sign in with your email address and this password. After you change it, update the password in each tool, or the tool stops connecting. See Connection settings.
If you sign in with SSO and have no password yet, your profile shows Set up password instead. The dialog asks only for New Password and Confirm New Password. When it succeeds, DataMind OS shows "Your password has been set successfully." The password you set here also works in your SQL tools.
If your company allows only SSO sign-in, DataMind OS does not manage your password, so your profile has no Change password or Set up password button. Administrators with the built-in Admin role keep the button.
Permissions in your profile lists the permissions you hold. Use it when an area is missing and you want to check whether you should see it. How access works explains how roles and permissions combine.
Use the filters to narrow the gallery, and Search themes... to find a theme by name.
| Filter | Shows |
|---|---|
| All | Every theme. |
| Built-in | The palettes that come with DataMind OS. |
| Private | Themes you created. |
| Public | Published themes from you and your team. |
| Favorites | Themes you starred. |
Click the star on a theme to add it to Favorites. Reset to default appears while a custom theme is applied; it returns you to the standard palette. Add theme opens the editor, where colours are hex values such as #1A2B3C or #FFF; DataMind OS normalises what you type and ignores a value it cannot read, and text colour is chosen automatically so it stays readable. Publish appears only with the publishing permission; Branding and themes covers the editor, publishing and managing themes. Themes saved in earlier versions keep working: DataMind OS converts them to the current format automatically.
Your custom theme is saved to your account, so it follows you to other devices. The light or dark choice and the Background pattern are stored in each browser, so set them again on other computers. Until you choose light or dark yourself, DataMind OS follows your computer's setting.
The Background row picks the pattern behind the interface. Grid is the default; the other choices are Graph, Isometric, Dots, Grain, Crosses, Stars, Ruled, Diagonal, Crosshatch and Plain. Clicking an empty spot on the background sends short lines travelling across it; the Plain pattern turns this off.
When your computer asks for reduced motion, DataMind OS reduces its animations.
Install App carries the subtitle Add to your device when your browser can install the app. Where it cannot, the row is greyed out with Available in supported browsers.
After you install the app, the account menu shows Open App with the subtitle Launch installed app. It opens the page you are on in the installed app. Inside the installed app, neither option appears. Starting the installed app shows a brief Loading DataMind OS screen while it loads.
On an iPhone or iPad, install from Safari: Tap the Share icon, then Select Add to Home Screen, then Tap Add - you're done. See iPhone and iPad and Android for the steps on each device.
When a new version of DataMind OS is ready, the app shows an Update available message with Refresh. Nothing changes until you click Refresh, so the new version waits until it suits you.
If your role includes Disable DataMind Oda Content Logging, your profile also shows the switch Disable content logging in DataMind OS Observability. When the switch is on, your DataMind Oda AI requests and tool calls are recorded without their content, so only token use and costs are kept. Questions you send to Minds still appear in those Minds' conversations and in their AI logs. If the change cannot be saved, a message reads "Content logging not changed".
| Setting | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Theme | Sets the colours of the whole interface. | The standard palette |
| Background pattern | Sets the pattern behind the interface. Stored in this browser. | The grid |
| Disable content logging in DataMind OS Observability | Records your DataMind Oda AI requests without their content. | Off, so content is recorded |
The tool still has your old password. Update the password in the tool. Your SQL tools use the same password as DataMind OS. See Connection settings.
Your company allows only SSO sign-in, so DataMind OS does not manage your password. Sign in with SSO instead. Administrators with the built-in Admin role still see the button.
The Old Password you entered does not match your current password. Check that Caps Lock is off, then try again.
Your company's password policy remembers your recent passwords. The message names how many: "You cannot reuse any of your last N passwords." Choose a password you have not used recently.
Use a JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF file of up to 5 MB. DataMind OS shows an Invalid image notice with "Please upload a JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF image." or "Image is too large. Maximum size is 5 MB." Other photo messages are in Troubleshooting.
No. Your profile shows your email read-only. Ask your administrator.
A custom theme does, because it is saved to your account. The light or dark choice and the Background pattern are stored in each browser, so set them again on other computers.
DataMind OS is already installed on this device, so the menu offers to open it. Install App adds the app to a device; Open App, with Launch installed app, opens it. Inside the installed app, neither item appears.
A newer version of DataMind OS is ready. Click Refresh to load it. Nothing changes until you do, so you can finish what you are doing first.
Open Profile and look at Permissions. It lists every permission you hold. See How access works for how roles and permissions combine.
