Working with tables
The data grid used on every screen: browse, filter, sort and export.
- The data grid
Browse results in the data grid: pages, columns, card view, row reorder, density, selection totals and comparing rows.
- The grid toolbar
Every button on a grid toolbar: what it does, when it appears or is disabled, how the toolbar folds on narrow screens, and the statistics it shows.
- Arrange and fit columns
Show, hide and reorder columns, resize headers, reset the layout and fit columns to their content.
- Cell types and formats
How each kind of cell shows its value: text, dates, checkboxes, statuses, roles, users, emails and labels, with their empty and locked states.
- Edit cells and unsaved changes
Edit table cells: enter edit mode, save or cancel, use the date picker and suggestions, and understand unsaved changes and drafts.
- Select, copy and paste cells
Select cells like a spreadsheet, read selection totals, copy the block to the clipboard and paste cells back into the grid.
- Compare rows side by side
Open selected rows as comparison cards, highlight equal values, tick fields and cycle through matching rows with Replace.
- Filter, sort and search
Sort columns, filter by values or by conditions such as Contains or Between, search the table and clear filters.
- Export and copy
Export table rows to Excel, CSV, JSON or TSV, export a full Editor result, and copy cells or tables to the clipboard.
