Install Oda in Cursor and sign in

DataMind Oda installs into Cursor as an extension, the same one that runs in VS Code. This page shows how to install it, what it needs, and how to sign in.

What you need

Install the extension

  1. In Cursor, open the Extensions view, search for DataMind Oda and click Install.
  2. Open Oda from the Activity Bar: the DataMind Oda view.
  3. Sign in with your DataMind server address when Oda asks.

If you cannot find DataMind Oda in the Extensions view, see Fix problems with Oda in Cursor: the extension is Windows only, and only its stable releases are published to Open VSX.

Read next: what the extension adds to the editor, on The Oda extension for Cursor.

When Oda asks, the Sign in to DataMind Oda box carries the prompt Address of your DataMind server. Enter your company's DataMind server address, the same one you use for the desktop app, and finish the sign-in in the browser it opens. Oda keeps the sign-in encrypted in the editor's storage on this computer and renews it with your server while you work; if your computer's credential store is not available, the sign-in lasts only for the current window.

Extension sign-in covers every step and message of the sign-in, and the update prompt that can come before the sign-in starts.
