An artifact is a result that a Mind saves from a chat: a query with its SQL and data, a slide deck, or a report. Open Artifacts to reuse those results outside the chat, for example to copy a query, export its data or train a Mind from it. To create one, ask a Mind or generate a presentation or slide deck.
On the Artifacts tab, each card has View and Copy. Cards for slide decks, presentations and reports also have Download, and Chat opens the chat that made the artifact. On desktop the buttons appear when you hover over a card; on a phone, tap a card to open it. A card that a swarm agent produced shows the agent's name. The previews on deck and report cards are decorative, not your content.
While an artifact opens it shows Loading artifact…; if it cannot be opened, it shows Failed to load artifact.
| Filter | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Search artifacts... | Narrows the list to matching artifacts. | Empty |
| All Minds | Shows the artifacts of one Mind. | All Minds |
| All types | Shows the artifacts of one kind of Mind: Analytical Mind, Warehouse Builder or Lake Builder. | All types |
| All Users | Shows the artifacts of one person. Me shows yours. | All Users |
| All Types | Shows queries (Query), reports (Report) or slide decks (Slide Deck). | All Types |
| Date range | Limits the list to a period. On a phone you pick a preset range. | No limit |
Filters combine: an artifact appears only when it matches every filter you set. To clear them, click Reset Filters.
While the list loads it shows Loading artefacts; as you scroll, more load with Loading more…. If it fails, it shows Failed to load artefacts with Reload page. If nothing matches, it shows No artefacts found and Try adjusting your filters.
Every chat has its own Artifacts panel. Click Artifacts in the chat header or press Ctrl+Shift+F. The button appears only when the chat has artifacts, and the panel lists only that chat's artifacts. Type in Search in artifacts... or click Filters. On desktop an artifact opens beside the list; on a phone it opens full screen.
The panel shows Loading artifacts while it loads and Failed to load artifacts if it fails. With no artifacts it reads No Artifacts yet and "Artifacts from your conversation will appear here. They represent generated queries, reports, presentations, and other structured data."; after a search that finds nothing, No Artifacts match your search.
While a Mind builds an artifact, a Generating artifacts bar appears with a Show pending only and Show all toggle; click a row to open its step in the chat. A ready artifact raises a toast that reads {artifactType} Generated Successfully with Click to view the artifact, and View opens it; a failed build reads {artifactType} Generation Failed with An error occurred during generation. If the chat has too little content to build an artifact, the reply reads Not enough content in conversation to generate artifacts.
Inside answers, a Mind can also name a table, a model or an artifact as a reference chip; see Formatting messages and rich answers.
A query artifact shows its SQL above its results on desktop. On a phone it shows the results only, and Copy, Compare and Go to Chat remain available.
The detail shows how many rows the query returned; when a limit cut the result, it reads X rows out of Y rows. If the query cannot load, it shows Failed to load query with Something went wrong; a result with no rows shows No data available and This artifact has no data.
In a chat, a query preview also offers Open in Query Editor, which carries the SQL into the Editor; it appears only when you can use the Editor.
Training works on desktop only, and you need Add Training Cards. It is offered on query artifacts only.
The new card takes the artifact's name, holds the SQL as a code block and carries the tag SQL Example. It is enabled and persistent, so the Mind uses it in every chat from the moment it is saved. To switch it off, use the Training Hub.
If the SQL contains personal data that your PII policy blocks, the card is not saved. The toast Training card not saved explains why. Where the policy only warns, users with Bypass PII Detection can click Save it anyway. If saving fails for another reason, the toast reads Could not create the training card.
Converting works on desktop only, and you need Add/Modify Warehouse Objects.
Until the form is complete, the dialog explains why: Minimum 2 characters required or At least one logical model is required. The view opens in a popup once it is created, and the query is saved with it. If the query fails its check, the view is still created and opens, so you can fix the query there. The admin permission group always applies to the view and is not shown.
If the name is taken, the dialog shows A table with this name already exists with an Open existing link. Enter another View Name, or open the existing table. For what a view is, see Views.
The artifact is a stored snapshot: it shows the deck as the Mind generated it, and changes made to the live deck in Slides do not appear in the artifact. Go to Chat opens the chat that made the deck; if you can no longer open that chat, a message tells you so.
A presentation artifact opens as a PDF preview with page and zoom controls and downloads with Download presentation. When no preview exists, the artifact shows Preview not available; when the preview cannot render, it shows Could not render preview. Both keep Download presentation available.
A report artifact is an HTML report. Download saves it as an HTML file. Reports are legacy: existing reports can be opened, read and downloaded, but new reports cannot be generated.
| Permission | What it allows |
|---|---|
| View Artifacts | Open Artifacts and your own artifacts, including their previews and downloads. |
| View Others Artifacts | See the artifacts that other people created. |
| Add Training Cards | See Train on a query artifact. |
| Add/Modify Warehouse Objects | See Convert to View on a query artifact. |
To open Artifacts at all, you need View Artifacts or View Others Artifacts. An artifact belongs to the chat that made it, and an artifact from a private chat stays visible only to that chat's creator. For the full list, see Who can do what with Minds.
You can only attach up to 2 {type} artifacts. On a phone, Artifacts opens inside Minds, the in-chat panel opens full screen, and training and converting to a view are not available there.
Queries that a Mind saves appear in Artifacts and in the Artifacts panel of the chat that made them. In a chat, click Artifacts in the header or press Ctrl+Shift+F.
The Artifacts tab lists everything you can see, across Minds, with filters for Mind, person and date. A chat's panel (Ctrl+Shift+F) lists only that chat's artifacts, and it appears only when the chat has some.
You need Add Training Cards. The button appears on desktop only and on query artifacts only; slide decks, presentations and reports never show it.
Yes. It is created enabled and persistent, so the Mind uses it straight away. To switch it off, open the Mind's Training Hub. You need Enable/Disable Training Cards to change a card.
With View Others Artifacts, their artifacts appear in the list, and you can filter by person under All Users. What you can open also depends on your access to the chat an artifact came from.
Enter another View Name, or click Open existing to open the view that already uses that name.
Export appears only when the result has more than 50 rows. For a smaller result, click Copy to take the SQL, run it in the Editor and export the full result from there.
Click Go to Slides. It appears only when you can open the live deck in Slides. The artifact itself stays as it was generated.
Yes. Click Go to Chat. The chat opens at the message that created the artifact.
Yes. Open the query and click Compare. It shows the difference between the version you are viewing and the one before it. To view an older version, open the version chip and pick one.
No. The artifact holds the deck as it was generated. Changes you make in Slides, and newer data, do not change the artifact. Open the live deck with Go to Slides for the current version.
Existing reports can be opened, read and downloaded. New reports cannot be generated; reports are legacy. For a new deliverable, generate a presentation or slide deck.
