When DataMind Oda cannot open, or stops unexpectedly, it shows a recovery dialog in place of its window. This page explains what the dialog offers and the order to try things in.
When the app fails to start, or stops unexpectedly, the dialog shows:
The application could not start or stopped unexpectedly.Oda shows this dialog once for a failed run; later failures in the same run do not bring it back. It stops its background work before the button you choose takes effect. Exit closes Oda, and Restart opens it again.
If a failure happens before the app can show this dialog, the message is simpler: DataMind Oda could not start, with the advice to reinstall the app.
Another copy of DataMind Oda is already running. Close it, then restart DataMind Oda., close every other DataMind Oda window on this computer, then choose Restart. If application files are missing or damaged, close the application and reinstall it. Your tasks are stored separately. Install and sign in has the steps; your chats, tasks, settings and plugins stay on this computer, so a reinstall keeps them.Close every other copy of Oda on this computer, then choose Restart in the dialog. If it fails again, choose Disable third-party plugins, back up profile patch, and restart; reinstall only as a last step. The list above has the order.
