When you open DataMind Oda, it loads its plugins before its interface appears. This page describes what you see during the load, what a failed load looks like, and where you can check what loaded.
While Oda starts, you see the DataMind Oda wordmark, the text Loading plugins… and a spinner. The spinner's arc grows as more plugins load.
Oda shows its interface only after every plugin has loaded. You see this screen every time you open Oda, including the first time you launch it after installing it.
The loading screen does not depend on the app's interface, which is why a plugin that fails stays visible, with its report, instead of a blank screen.
If a plugin cannot load, Oda keeps the screen and reports the failure:
Oda does not open with plugins missing. To retry the load, close Oda and open it again.
If the same failure comes back, keep the message and contact your administrator. Updates and troubleshooting covers what to send.
Once Oda is open, Settings > Built-in plugins lists the plugins loaded on this computer. A failure that comes up later, after Oda has opened, appears there too, instead of stopping the app. See Built-in plugins.
Oda is loading its plugins, the parts it is built from. Loading plugins… appears with a spinner whose arc grows as more of them load. When every plugin has loaded, Oda opens.
One or more plugins could not load, so Oda could not open its interface. The screen lists each plugin that failed, with the reason it could not load.
Close Oda and open it again to retry the load. If the same failure comes back, keep the message on the screen and contact your administrator; see Updates and troubleshooting.
Oda opens only when every plugin has loaded, so it does not run with parts missing. One plugin that cannot load keeps the loading screen, with the report, in place of the app.
No. Oda waits for the full set of plugins before its interface appears. A failure that comes up later, after Oda has opened, is different: it appears in Settings > Built-in plugins instead of stopping the app.
Open Settings > Built-in plugins; it lists the plugins loaded on this computer. See Built-in plugins for the details.
No. It lists only the plugins that failed, each with the reason it could not load. Plugins that loaded are not shown.
They are the parts DataMind Oda is built from, grouped into bundles. They load before Oda's interface appears; that is what the loading screen is waiting for. Settings > Built-in plugins lists the ones loaded on this computer.
