DataMind Oda does its work in a folder on your computer: the workspace of the chat. The sidebar groups your chats by workspace, keeps the ones you pinned on top, and collects chats without a workspace under Ungrouped. This page covers that layer of the sidebar; the chats themselves and their menus are covered in Pin, rename, fork or archive a chat.
Each section header folds, and Oda remembers what you folded. Workspaces, files and permissions covers what Oda may do in a workspace folder.
If the chooser cannot open the folder you picked, the dialog reads Couldn’t open folder; choose Choose again to pick another folder.
Open the workspace's ... menu (its name reads Workspace actions for <name>) to rename or remove it.
A workspace named “<name>” already exists. This removes “<name>” from the workspace list. The folder and session logs will be kept. Its sessions will appear under Ungrouped. Confirm, and Oda shows Deleting workspace… while it applies the change.Deleting a workspace takes off only its entry in Oda's list. The folder and its files stay on your computer, and its chats appear under Ungrouped. Adding the same folder again starts a fresh workspace.
<name>.In Pinned, above the Workspaces section. A pinned chat appears only there, wherever it belongs, and the section is hidden while nothing is pinned. Pin or unpin a chat from its menu; Pin, rename, fork or archive a chat covers the rest.
To keep the list short, each workspace shows five idle chats at a time, and running chats stay visible beyond those five; Pinned keeps its own five the same way. Your chats in the sidebar covers the paging controls.
That chat belongs to no workspace. This also happens when its workspace was removed: deleting a workspace takes off only its entry in Oda's list, and its chats appear under Ungrouped.
Drag a chat to the place it should take, or drag a workspace row to reorder the workspace groups. The first drag switches the list to Manual order; Group, order and filter chats covers the order options and what Oda keeps.
The workspace you used last; if none has been used yet, the most recently updated one. To start a chat in a particular workspace, point at its row and choose New session in <name>.
The blank New Session row keeps the first slot of its workspace and cannot be dragged. Once the chat has its first message, it is a normal chat row and moves by dragging like the others.
Sections from other features can sit between Pinned and Workspaces; for example, scheduled tasks start their chats under Scheduled. Every section header folds, and Oda remembers what you folded.
Yes. Choose Rename from the workspace's ... menu. Oda refuses a name that is empty, unchanged from the current one, or already used by another workspace; a duplicate shows A workspace named “<name>” already exists.
