Create a Mind so your team can ask questions over the tables you link, then finish its setup in the wizard that opens. To change a Mind after setup, see Mind settings; to make a copy of one, see Edit and duplicate a Mind.
The Mind is created straight away, and the setup wizard opens for it.
For a builder Mind, Owner Role is replaced by a note that the admin role owns the Mind.
If the workspace has no Minds yet, it shows No Minds Available with the line Create your first AI Mind to get started with intelligent conversations. and the same create form. Without permission to create Minds, the page asks you to contact your administrator for access instead.
The wizard has four steps: Settings, AI Config, Sources and Training. Builder Minds skip Sources. On a phone, the wizard shows only Settings and AI Config.
If you try to leave a step with unsaved changes, the Unsaved Changes dialog asks You have unsaved changes in Sources. How would you like to proceed?, naming the step you are leaving. It appears when you click Next or Previous, click a step in the footer, click Finish Setup, or move away from the wizard. Click Discard & Continue to lose the changes, or Cancel to keep editing; on the Training step, Save & Continue is offered as well and saves every open card with unsaved edits first.
Cancel setup deletes the Mind. The dialog Cancel mind setup? reads This will delete this mind and cannot be undone. You can create a new mind anytime. Click Delete mind to confirm, or Keep editing to return to the wizard. To keep the Mind, click Finish Setup instead.
A builder Mind starts differently: it runs as the person who asks, and its Allowed file types allow Images, PDF and Text (.txt), not Excel / CSV. See Warehouse Builder and Lake Builder.
Deleting removes the Mind's chats, scheduled tasks, training cards, skills, uploaded files and its access to the tables it used. The Lake and Warehouse tables themselves stay. The skills it owns are deleted also from the Minds they are shared with. See Skills a Mind can load.
Between 2 and 60 characters, and the name must be unique. Backticks, double quotes, colons and backslashes are not allowed; the form reports Name cannot contain backticks, double quotes, colons or backslashes. A name that is too short or too long is refused with Name must be at least 2 characters or Name must not exceed 60 characters.
It appears only for admins, because only admins create builder Minds. Analytical Mind is the default when it shows, beside Warehouse Builder and Lake Builder. Everyone else creates an Analytical Mind without choosing a kind. See Warehouse Builder and Lake Builder.
It stays off until the form is ready: it needs a Name of at least 2 characters and, when the field is shown, an Owner Role. While the Mind is created the button reads Creating….
It deletes the new Mind after you confirm with Delete mind. Click Keep editing to stay in the wizard, or Finish Setup to keep the Mind. The delete clears the Mind's chats, scheduled tasks, training cards, skills, uploaded files and its table access; the tables themselves stay.
No. The Mind exists from the moment you click Create Mind, and the wizard's steps are the same tabs you can open on the Mind later, so you can finish them after setup: Mind settings, Choose models and AI behaviour, Link data to a Mind and Train a Mind with training cards. Only Cancel setup deletes the Mind.
Builder Minds skip Sources, because they see every Lake and Warehouse table and have nothing to link. On a phone, the wizard shows only Settings and AI Config.
It runs as its Owner Role, allows Images, PDF, Text (.txt) and Excel / CSV uploads, keeps Enforce PII column clarification off, and starts unpublished: only its owner role and administrators can reach it. Click Publish under Publication on the Settings tab to open it to its Permission Groups; see Publish or unpublish a Mind.
Its chats, scheduled tasks, training cards, skills, uploaded files and its access to the tables it used. The Lake and Warehouse tables themselves are not deleted.
The workspace has no Minds you can open. If you may create one, the page offers the create form; otherwise it asks you to contact your administrator to request access or have a Mind created for you.
