On a phone, DataMind OS opens as Minds, where you chat with the AI agents that work on your data. Use this page to see what a phone can open, how to use Minds on it and how to install the app.
The width of the browser window decides which layout you get.
| Browser window width | What you get |
|---|---|
| Below 768 pixels | Minds, shared Oda chats and the access-denied page. Every other page opens Minds instead. |
| 768 pixels or more | The full DataMind OS, with the pages your permissions allow. |
A tablet that is narrower than 768 pixels, for example after you turn it, gets the phone layout. The switch happens only after the window has stayed narrow for 0.4 seconds, so a brief change in width does not move you.
To work with Lake, Warehouse, the Editor, DataPrism, Slides or Universe, use a computer or a tablet that is at least 768 pixels wide.
The top bar shows the section you are in: Minds, Artifacts or Scheduled Tasks. Inside a chat, the top bar shows the chat's title. Tap the title to open its menu. It offers Rename, Bookmark (Remove Bookmark on a bookmarked chat) and Delete, where you are allowed to use them. Next to the title, the Tool History and Artifacts icons open those panels on top of the chat. The icon at the top right starts a new chat.
To find out how to write to a Mind, see Ask a Mind.
When your browser can install the app, a banner at the top of Minds says Add Minds to your home screen. It has an Install button and an X button.
On iPhone and iPad, the banner appears only in Safari. On Android, it appears when your browser offers to install the app. If you closed it, or want to install later, open the panel, tap your name at the bottom and tap Install app. This item appears only when your browser can install the app.
