Tiers keeps the catalog of plans a company can subscribe to, and Offered tiers decides which of them each company may pick. Use them to add a plan, to retire one without deleting it, and to keep each company's menu of plans current.
Tiers and Offered tiers are staff-only areas. They are visible to DataMind staff accounts; company accounts do not see them.
Tiers lists every tier with its Name, Label, Price, Premium tokens, Standard tokens, Premium overage / 1M, Standard overage / 1M and Status. Status reads Enabled or Disabled, and the list is sorted by label.
| Field | What it sets |
|---|---|
| Name | The plan name, up to 50 characters. Required. |
| Internal label | A staff annotation for this list. It is never part of what a client sees. |
| Currency | The currency the company is billed in. A tier with no currency counts as GEL. |
| Monthly price | The plan's monthly fee. |
| Premium overage / 1M and Standard overage / 1M | Required. The price per additional 1M tokens past the allowance; 0. makes that overage free. |
| Premium tokens and Standard tokens | The tokens the plan includes each billing window. A magnitude hint appears below the field as you type, such as 5M. |
| Icon and Color | The tier's mark: twelve icons and six colours to pick from. The mark shows wherever the tier appears. |
A new tier is saved Enabled and reaches a company only once it is on that company's menu (below).
The form checks itself before saving: an empty name reads Name is required, and a missing overage
reads Premium overage /,
or its Standard counterpart. Create and Save changes stay disabled until the name is filled
and something has changed. Closing with edits asks Unsaved Changes: Discard & Close leaves
without saving, Keep Editing stays.
{name}? or Enable {name}?. The confirmation states the effect: "This
tier will leave company menus and cannot be newly selected until re-enabled." or "This tier
becomes available for company menus and plan selection."A disabled tier leaves company menus and cannot be newly selected; a company already subscribed to it keeps its plan. There is no delete.
Offered tiers lists companies with their Region, Status, Plans and Offered tiers.
The chips name the offered plans, and a plan that has since been disabled stays in the list, marked
(disabled). A company with no plans reads None offered; hover a chip for its price, its token
allowances and its overage prices, and chips that do not fit fold into a +n chip.
{company name}, tick the plans the company may subscribe to. Every
catalog tier is listed with its allowances and prices; a disabled tier is dimmed and marked
(disabled).Saving replaces the whole menu: unticking a plan removes it, and saving with nothing ticked leaves the company no plans to pick from. The save is blocked while either of these is true:
Two selected tiers share the name "{name}" - the client picks its plan by name, so each offered tier needs a distinct one.Selected tiers mix {A} and {B} - a company bills in the currency of the tier it subscribes to, so one menu must offer a single currency. On the company's own Pricing page, the offered plans are ordered cheapest first. Removing a plan from the menu means the company cannot pick it again; a company already subscribed to it keeps its plan until an Administrator switches.
The tier a company subscribes to sets its token allowances, overage prices and billing currency; the company sees these on its Pricing and Settings pages. Companies themselves, with their limits and credit, are managed on Companies.
No. A tier reaches a company only through its Offered tiers menu. A new tier is saved Enabled, so add it to the menu and it appears on the company's Pricing page.
No. The Internal label is a staff annotation: it appears here in the catalog's Label column and in the management dialog's rows, and it is never part of what a client sees.
Two checks block the save, each with its message under the tier list: two selected tiers share a name, or the selection mixes currencies. Rename one of the clashing tiers, or keep the menu to one currency, and Save menu unlocks.
No. The save is refused with Disabled tiers cannot be offered to a company. Enable the tier on
Tiers first. A tier disabled after it was offered drops off the company's Pricing page but keeps
its entry on the menu, marked (disabled).
Nothing changes for it: disabling only stops the tier being newly selected, and a company already subscribed keeps its plan.
No. Removing a plan means the company cannot pick it again; a company already on it stays on it.
No. There is no delete: Disable is how a tier is retired, and the tier stays in the catalog.
Enter 0. in Premium overage / 1M or Standard overage / 1M. Both rates are required, so
every tier prices both overages even when a price is zero.
The currency of the plan it subscribes to. One company's menu must offer a single currency, and a tier with no Currency set counts as GEL.
Both are staff-only areas: they appear to DataMind staff accounts, and company accounts do not see them.
