Companies

Companies lists every company on the platform. Use it to create a company, edit its details, open its limits and its credit, and deactivate or activate it.

Note

Companies is a staff-only area. It is visible to DataMind staff accounts; company accounts do not see it.

The companies list

The table shows every company, active or not, one row each.

The # column, which numbers the rows, is hidden until you reveal it from the column menu. You can search, sort and filter the list as on the console's other tables, and the table's export action writes every row, named companies.

  2. Fill in the form, described below.

Two billing actions sit beside Edit in the row menu:

Questions, answered

Can a company account create a company?

No. Companies is a staff-only area: a company account does not see it, and creating a company is a staff-side action.

Why was my new company refused?

A name or a tax code that is already in use is refused: A company with this name already exists or A company with this tax code already exists. Change the name, or correct or clear the tax code, and save again.

Can two companies have the same tax code?

No. A tax code is unique when present. Leaving it empty is allowed, and empty values never collide.

What does the Version column show?

The build stamp of the company's DataMind OS deployment, as last reported. Its tooltip reads Last seen {date-time}, the moment that build was last received; - means the company has never reported one.

What does the PII policy column show?

Whether the company blocks requests that contain personal data: Blocked when its Prohibit PII transmission option is on, Off when it is off. The check itself is described on Settings.

What happens when a company is deactivated?

Its members lose access, the company disappears from sign-in for them, its API key stops working, and its subscription is cancelled in the same step.

What happens to the final month when a company is deactivated?

Nothing is invoiced for it. Billing stops the moment the company is deactivated, and the final, partial month is never invoiced.

Can I delete a company?

No. There is no delete action: deactivating a company is how its access is ended, and it stays in the list, marked Inactive.

What do the Limits and Grant credit actions do?

Limits opens the company's rate, concurrency and spend overrides (Platform settings: limits); Grant credit opens its gifted-credit dialog (Gifted credit). Both are staff actions.

How many billing emails can a company have?

Up to 10. They are trimmed, lowercased and deduplicated when saved, and a save above the limit is blocked with At most 10 addresses.

Why can I not see Companies?

Companies is a staff-only area of the console: it appears to DataMind staff accounts; company accounts do not see it.
