Under every finished answer, Oda in Excel shows a row of small buttons: Copy answer, Good answer, Not helpful and Report this answer, the flag. They are always there, not only when you point at the answer. Ratings and reports go to your company's DataMind workspace, where your administrators read them to improve how Oda works for you.
Click Copy answer to copy the answer as Markdown, with its headings, lists and tables. The pane
says Answer copied. Cells Oda cites become their address, such as Sales!B2:D9, links stay only
when they lead to a web or mail address, and nothing in the copy loads a picture from the web when
you paste it. If Excel does not let the pane use the clipboard, the pane says
Could not copy. Excel blocked the clipboard.
To copy or save the whole chat instead, see Copy or download a chat.
To change your mind, click the other button: your new rating replaces the first one and the details sent with it. To take a rating back, click the filled button again.
Ratings and reports you sent stay in your company's DataMind workspace when you delete the chat or sign out, and when the pane drops the chat to keep 50 per workbook and 500 in all. After that, a rating can no longer be taken back from the pane: ask your administrator to delete it. When your DataMind account is deleted, your ratings and reports are deleted with it.
If a rating was not sent, the button goes back as it was and the pane says Your feedback was not sent. Try again.
Report an answer that is harmful, wrong or misleading, so your administrators can look into it.
When the report is sent, the pane says Thanks. Your report was sent to your organization’s DataMind workspace., and the flag of that answer reads You reported this answer and cannot be used again. A sent report cannot be withdrawn or changed. If it was not sent, the sheet stays open with Your report was not sent. Try again.
Where your DataMind server does not accept reports from Oda in Excel, the flag opens the Report an answer part of DataMind Oda's support page in your browser instead of the sheet. The pane sends nothing then; the page explains how to tell DataMind about the answer.
| You send | It always carries | Only when you tick the box |
|---|---|---|
| A rating | Good answer or Not helpful, and the details you type | The answer, up to 20,000 characters, and the message that asked for it, up to 8,000 characters |
| A report | The reason you chose, and the details you type | The answer and your message, with the same limits |
The answer is everything Oda wrote in that reply, including the notes it wrote between its steps, which show in the reply's work.
With either, your workspace also receives which model wrote the answer, the pane's version, and the ids that tell your chat and the answer apart. The feedback itself never holds their text. Feedback never carries what Oda's steps read or returned, such as cells, query results, files or web pages, and never the files you attached, except where an answer you choose to include quotes them.
Your ratings and reports are stored in your company's DataMind workspace, with your name. People who can view or change your company's DataMind Oda settings read them in Admin > Oda > Feedback; an answer and a message show there only when you ticked the box. Where your workspace records the content of AI requests, its AI log may already hold the chat, under the same chat id that your feedback carries, for people who can read that log, whether you ticked the box or not; see AI, socket and PII logs and Content logging for DataMind Oda. Administrators who can change those settings can also delete a rating or a report. See Read the feedback people send.
No, not unless you tick Include this answer and my message in the sheet after Not helpful. A rating on its own carries only Good answer or Not helpful, the model that wrote the answer and the pane's version.
Yes, while the chat is still in the pane. Click the filled button again, and DataMind removes your rating. Clicking the other button replaces it instead. Once you delete the chat or sign out, or the pane drops the chat to keep 50 per workbook and 500 in all, the rating stays in your company's DataMind workspace, and only your administrator can delete it.
No. A sent report cannot be withdrawn or changed, and the flag of that answer reads You reported this answer. Your administrators can delete it.
The people in your company who can view or change the DataMind Oda settings, in Admin > Oda > Feedback. They see your name, the reason, your details and, only when you ticked the box, the answer and your message.
Your DataMind server does not accept ratings from Oda in Excel, or the answer is not finished. Copy answer and Report this answer still work. Ask your administrator if you need the thumbs.
Your DataMind server does not accept reports from Oda in Excel, so the flag opens the Report an answer part of DataMind Oda's support page in your browser instead of the report sheet. The pane sent nothing; the page explains how to tell DataMind about the answer.
DataMind takes only so many ratings and reports from one account in a short time. Wait a while, then send it again; nothing was saved for that attempt.
The answer as Markdown, with cited cells written as their address. Paste it into an email, a document or a chat. To copy the whole chat, use Copy chat under More options.
Your ratings and reports are stored in your company's DataMind workspace, and the pane sends them nowhere else. Your administrators read them there; DataMind itself does not receive them.
