Open Admin, then Oda; the page subtitle reads "Settings and MCP servers for every Oda user". The page has three tabs: General, MCP and Skills. This page covers General, where the company-wide rules for every Oda user live. The other two tabs are covered in MCP servers and skills.
The Organization instructions card ("Added to every Oda chat") holds the text that is added to every Oda chat in the company. Use it for rules that should hold everywhere, for example what may never be pasted into a chat.
The limit is 8,000 characters. It is a server limit, about 2,000 tokens of English text. Over the limit the counter turns red and Save changes stays unavailable until you shorten the text.
The Scheduled tasks card controls whether Oda runs scheduled tasks in the company.
People create and manage their own scheduled tasks in Oda; see Schedule recurring tasks. While this setting is off, their runs are refused until you turn it back on.
Scheduled tasks are enabled for a person only when this card is on and their role includes DataMind Oda Scheduled Tasks. With either one missing, their scheduled runs are refused. See Manage DataMind Oda for your company for the sets that include it.
The Browser card turns Oda's browser on or off for everyone and sets which sites it may open. The card reads Enabled or Disabled - Oda cannot use its browser, and its edge turns red while it is off.
Oda's browser turns on for a person only when this card is on and their role includes Use DataMind Oda Browser; with either one missing, it stays off for them.
Site rules offers two options:
The Blocked sites field is shown with both options. Entries in the two lists work the same way:
*. is dropped, so *. example. com is saved as example. com.https:/ /, a path or a port is refused, and a message under the field asks for a website, not a link or a path. The Browser in scheduled tasks row stays disabled until Scheduled tasks is on.
How people use the browser on their side is described in The browser in Oda.
Opening the Oda tab needs View DataMind Oda Settings. Changing anything on General needs Modify DataMind Oda Settings; without it the toggles and fields are disabled and the two buttons do not appear. The sets that include these permissions are described in Manage DataMind Oda for your company.
Up to 8,000 characters, which is a server limit of about 2,000 tokens of English text. The counter under the box counts your text against the limit, for example "1,234 / 8,000", and turns red over it.
One of three things can hold it back: nothing has changed on the three cards yet, a save is running, or the organization instructions are over 8,000 characters. If Discard and Save changes are missing entirely, your role does not include Modify DataMind Oda Settings.
Together. The cards edit one draft, and Save changes sends the whole draft in a single request. There is no per-card save, and Discard affects all three cards.
It drops what you changed on the three cards and brings back the stored values. It saves nothing.
Yes. Switch the Browser card off and click Save changes. The card then reads Disabled - Oda cannot use its browser, and Oda cannot use its browser. To bring the browser back, switch the card on and save.
Yes. The hint under each list reads "Press Enter to add. A site also covers its subdomains.", so one entry covers the addresses under that site.
Entries must be bare site names. A link with https:/, a path or a port is not accepted; the message under the field asks for a website, not a link or a path. Type the name alone, for example example..
Scheduled runs are refused for everyone in the company while the card is off, and the card reads Disabled - scheduled runs are refused. Turn it back on and save to allow scheduled runs again.
It stays disabled while Scheduled tasks is off. Turn Scheduled tasks on first, then set the row.
Changing anything on General needs Modify DataMind Oda Settings. Without it you can read the cards, but the toggles and fields are disabled and the buttons do not appear. See Manage DataMind Oda for your company for the sets that include it.
