Documentation opens the DataMind docs inside DataMind OS, in a workspace of its own. Use it to find a guide, read it without leaving the app, and copy a page when you need its text elsewhere.
Documentation sits in the sidebar, in the same group as Universe and BI. Every signed-in user sees it, and it needs no permission.
The workspace is built for a computer. On a phone, a link to it takes you to Minds, as links to other areas do. See Find your way around for what changes on a phone.
The tree is expanded by default, and the section that holds the page you open expands on its own. Your place is highlighted, and the tree scrolls to it. Cards lift when you point at them, and the small icons animate.
To make room, drag the edge between the tree and the page. The tree is at least 240 pixels wide and never takes more than 35% of the window, and DataMind OS remembers your width in this browser. Click the button whose tooltip reads Hide panel, or press Alt+1, to fold the tree away. While the tree is hidden, the header shows Documentation; click Show panel, or press Alt+1, to bring the tree back.
The workspace header also holds the docs search. Ask AI in Documentation explains how to ask questions about DataMind there; the Ask AI panel that follows you across pages from Universe is a separate tool, described in Ask AI about DataMind.
A page can hold an intro, card blocks, step timelines and its main sections, each numbered in order. At the top, a breadcrumb shows where the page sits; click Documentation or an earlier step in it to go back.
Loading documentation and the tree shows Loading documentation navigation. They are placeholders and disappear as soon as the docs arrive.Failed to load page. Reload the browser page and open the entry again; if it keeps failing, contact support.Image failed to load; the rest of the page still reads normally. No pages available.Click Copy Page. It puts the page on your clipboard as markdown, so you can paste it into a document or a message.
Every code block has its own copy button, beside the badge that shows its language. Click it to copy just that block.
Use the tree on the left. It lists every page, and the section that holds the page you are on stays open; click a section name to open it or fold it away.
A few entries in the docs are hidden from both the cards and the tree, so not every name behind the docs appears there. Every page you can read is still listed under its section.
Two reasons: the rail appears on a wide window only, and a page with no headings has nothing to list.
It moves on to the next section, and Previous brings you back the same way. Point at a button to see the title of the page it opens.
When you open a page, the tree scrolls that entry into view so you can see where you are in the docs.
Links that leave DataMind OS open in a new tab, so the docs stay where they are. Links to other docs pages open here in the workspace.
No. The workspace is built for a computer. On a phone, a link to Documentation takes you to Minds, as links to other areas do.
Yes, in this browser. The tree comes back with the width you set, and it stays hidden or shown as you left it.
