A report can carry its own colour theme and logo. Use this page to set the report's theme and logo, choose your own colour theme as a viewer, and present the report full screen or as a wall display.
You need edit access to the report to change these settings.
| Setting | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Show logo | Shows your organisation's logo in the report footer. | On |
| Default theme | The colour theme the report opens in when Force default theme is on. Viewers see it under Change theme as Report default. Choose None to have no default. | None |
| Force default theme | Opens the report in the default theme. A viewer's own pick wins while their theme is still available. | Off |
The info tip on Force default theme reads: "The first time someone opens the report it uses the default theme. If they change the theme themselves, their choice is kept. When off, the report opens in each viewer's current theme."
Force default theme needs a default theme before it can be turned on; until you set one, the control reads Pick a default theme first. Choosing None for Default theme turns Force default theme off as well.
When the stored theme is no longer available, for example because it was deleted, Default theme shows Unavailable theme. The report then falls back to viewer picks and current themes.
Your administrator uploads the logo itself in Branding and themes.
A viewer's pick changes the report for that viewer only.
When the report has a default theme, the list starts with Report default and the theme's name in brackets. The other colour themes come next. Reset clears the viewer's pick and is greyed out when there is no pick.
A pick is saved to the viewer's account for that report, and it stays until the viewer changes it or clicks Reset. If the pick cannot be saved, DataMind shows Theme not saved.
Change theme is offered in view mode only. Leave edit mode first.
Present fills the screen with a report, for reading or for a wall display. It is not offered in edit mode.
| Setting | What it does | Default | Range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Refresh data | Re-runs every chart on the page at the interval you set. | On, every 60 seconds | 5 to 300 seconds, in steps of 5 |
| Cycle pages | Turns to the next page at the interval you set. | On, every 30 seconds | 5 to 300 seconds, in steps of 5 |
Dragging a slider turns that timer on. Switch a timer off and its readout shows Off. Your wall display settings are remembered in this browser and used the next time you present. Cycle pages stays off for a report with one page; its row then reads This report has one page.
While a session runs, a control bar sits at the bottom of the screen:
| Control | What it does | Key |
|---|---|---|
| Previous page | Goes back one page. | Left arrow |
| Next page | Goes forward one page. | Right arrow |
| Pause wall display (Resume wall display when paused) | Holds the timers and starts them again. | Space |
| Zoom out | Zooms the page out. | - |
| Zoom in | Zooms the page in. | + |
| Fit to page | Fits the whole page on screen. | 0 |
| Fit to width | Fits the page width to the screen. | W |
| Fill the whole screen | Switches the report to full screen. | - |
| Exit present mode | Ends the session. | Esc |
During a wall display, the bar shows a countdown to the next refresh or page change, or Paused while the session is held. Updated shows the clock time the numbers last loaded, so a stalled screen is easy to spot, and No data yet appears before the first load. The bar dims after a few seconds without pointer movement or key presses; move the pointer or press a key to bring it back.
If your browser does not allow full screen, the report fills the browser window instead, and every control still works. Click Fill the whole screen to try full screen again.
| Action | Who can do it |

A default theme on its own does not change what viewers see. The report opens in the default theme when Force default theme is on, and the theme is offered under Change theme as Report default. Without forcing, the report opens in each viewer's current theme.
The viewer's own pick for that report, while that theme is still available. Otherwise, the report's default theme when Force default theme is on. Otherwise, the viewer's current theme.
No. A viewer's own pick is kept while the theme they chose is still available. Force default theme applies to viewers who have not picked a theme.
Open Change theme and choose Reset. Reset clears your pick for that report and is greyed out when you have no pick. After a reset you see the report's default theme when Force default theme is on, or your own current theme.
The stored theme no longer exists, for example because it was deleted. Choose another theme, or None. While the field reads Unavailable theme, the report falls back to viewer picks and current themes.
It needs a default theme before it can be turned on; until you set one, the control reads Pick a default theme first. Choosing None for Default theme also turns Force default theme off.

No. A pick under Change theme is stored for you, for that report, and other viewers keep their own themes. The report's Default theme and Force default theme settings change what others see, and they save with the report.
It colours the report canvas, its visuals and their charts. Changing the theme repaints the report; the visuals are not reloaded.
PowerPoint and PDF copies carry the report's colour theme. If the theme is not available to the export, the built-in Light colours are used instead.
