Settings > Connectors connects DataMind Oda to the apps you work with, so their tools are available in your chats. The page holds two tabs: Connectors for the ready-made apps in the catalogue, and MCP servers for servers you add yourself, covered in MCP servers. This page covers the Connectors tab; Connect an app walks through a sign-in step by step.
Sign-ins are stored encrypted on this computer. The page is available in the desktop app and the VS Code extension; the web app does not show it.
The shipped catalogue includes ClickUp and GitHub. Each app gets a card with its name, its state, and the one action it needs: connect it, sign in again, or disconnect it.
Connected as <account>.1 tool, or 7 tools when it offers more. It counts only while the app is connected and offers at least one tool.Keep in mind that everything the AI sees or answers to you is logged in the DataMind OS Observability log. and Administrators with access to Observability in your DataMind workspace can see these logs.Loading connectors…. When no connectors can be offered to you, it reads No connectors are available in this app.| State | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
Not connected | The app has no sign-in yet. | Choose Connect on the card. |
Connecting… | A connection or sign-in is running. | Wait; the card refreshes on its own. |
Connected, Connected as <account> | The sign-in is in place and the app's tools are available in your chats. | Nothing; the card's … menu offers Disconnect. |
Sign-in expired | A saved sign-in stopped working. It shows only in Settings, never in a chat. | Choose Sign in again and finish the sign-in again. |
Not working | The last attempt did not go through. | Read the reason after the state, then try again or contact your DataMind OS administrator. |
When a card has a reason to report too, the line reads <state>: <message>.
An app offers the sign-in ways it supports, and your company's setup can narrow them: some apps only offer their browser sign-in once it is turned on for your company. The shipped apps sign in with one of these two ways:
You are signed in and You can close this tab and return to DataMind Oda.; a failed one reads Sign-in did not finish and Return to DataMind Oda for details, then try again. Those pages are in English only. While a browser sign-in is running, DataMind Oda keeps checking with the service whether you have finished. Each check waits up to about 20 seconds for an answer and repeats while the sign-in is still pending. That wait belongs to the check alone; the sign-in as a whole keeps its own, longer time limit.
Starting a connect for an app cancels any sign-in still running for that app, so start again only when you mean to.
| Message | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
Paste an access token to connect <app>. | You asked to connect without pasting a token. | Paste the app's token and connect. |
Paste the whole access token, without spaces. | The token did not arrive whole; it was incomplete or held spaces. | Copy the token again and paste it in full. |
<app> signs in through the browser, not with a token. | The app does not take a token. | Use the browser sign-in on the card. |
<app> did not accept this token. | The service refused the token. | Paste a complete, unexpired token; if it keeps failing, contact your DataMind OS administrator. |
Could not reach <app> to check the token. | The service could not be reached to check the token. | Check your network connection, then try again. |
This connector is turned off in Settings > MCP servers. | The app is switched off in your Oda setup, so it cannot sign in. | If you expect to use it, contact your DataMind OS administrator. |
This connector is not available in this app. | The app cannot be connected in the app you are running. | Contact your DataMind OS administrator if you need it. |
This sign-in is no longer running. | The sign-in stopped before it finished. | Start the connection again from the card. |
Other failures arrive as plain sentences, for example when the sign-in server could not be reached or the sign-in was declined. Start it again from the card.
If the tab cannot read the catalogue, it shows an error row: Could not load the connectors: <message>, with Retry. Choose Retry to ask again; if it keeps failing, keep the message and contact your DataMind OS administrator.
The shipped catalogue includes ClickUp and GitHub, one card each. Each card and the sign-in dialog show the ways that app supports: browser sign-in, or a token.
The list shows what the catalogue ships and what your company has made available. Some apps offer their browser sign-in only once it is turned on for your company. If no connector can be offered at all, the tab reads No connectors are available in this app. For a tool the catalogue does not cover, add it as an MCP server instead: see Memory, skills and connectors.
That message is This connector is turned off in Settings > MCP servers. The app is switched off in your Oda setup, so it cannot sign in. If you expect to use it, contact your DataMind OS administrator.
DataMind Oda checks on its own while you finish, waiting up to about 20 seconds per check. The sign-in as a whole keeps a longer time limit; if it runs out, you see The sign-in timed out., and you can start again from the card. If a check catches a sign-in that has already stopped, it reports This sign-in is no longer running.
One of three messages fits. Paste the whole access token, without spaces. means the paste was incomplete. <app> did not accept this token. means the service refused the token. Could not reach <app> to check the token. means the service could not be reached. A browser-only app answers a token attempt with <app> signs in through the browser, not with a token. DataMind Oda checks the token with the service before saving it, so a token the service does not accept is never stored.
Starting a connect for an app cancels any sign-in still running for that app. The new sign-in replaces the old one; finish it the usual way.
It counts what the app gives DataMind Oda: 1 tool, or 7 tools when it offers more. The count appears only once the app is connected and offers at least one tool, so a zero count never shows.
Choose Retry on the error row (Could not load the connectors: <message>). If it keeps failing, keep the message and contact your DataMind OS administrator.
On this computer, encrypted. Disconnecting an app removes its saved entry and its tokens from this computer; you can connect it again later.
The notice on each card answers it: Keep in mind that everything the AI sees or answers to you is logged in the DataMind OS Observability log. Administrators with access to Observability in your DataMind workspace can see these logs.
