A training card template is a ready-made card, written in plain language, that tells a Mind how to work. Use the template gallery when you want a card that is already right instead of writing the instructions yourself.
The New card from template dialog opens. Its subtitle reads: "Pick a template - the card is created right away and opens in the editor."
| Template | What it makes the Mind do |
|---|---|
| Grill Me | Interviews you relentlessly before building any big analysis, report or deck. |
| Suggest the Next Question | Ends each analysis with 2-3 smart follow-up questions. |
| Sanity Check Before Numbers | Quietly verifies the data before showing any result to the user. |
| Quintuple Check | Verifies every substantive answer with 5 independent swarm sub-agents before you see it. |
| Confirm the Metric First | Confirms the exact metric definition with the user before running any analysis. |
| Root-Cause Drilldown | Turns every "why did this number change?" into a structured, step-by-step breakdown. |
| Anomaly Playbook | A fixed checklist the AI walks through whenever a number looks strange. |
| Devil's Advocate | Respectfully stress-tests conclusions before the user acts on them. |
| Plain Language Answers | Answers business questions in everyday words, with zero jargon. |
| Answer First, Details Second | Every reply starts with the bottom line in up to 3 bullets. |
| Always Show a Comparison | No metric is ever shown alone, always next to a baseline. |
| Confirm Fuzzy Dates | Turns "recently" and "last month" into exact, confirmed date ranges. |
| Big Query Safety Brake | Asks before scanning huge tables and proposes a small preview first. |
| Clean Charts Only | Enforces simple, readable chart choices with labeled units. |
The card is created right away, arrives as a Persistent card that is already Enabled, and opens in the editor.
A template card is enabled as soon as it is created, so the Mind uses it straight away. Switch it to Disabled and save if you want to review it first.
Start with the three under Recommended. Grill Me interviews you before a big analysis, report or deck; Suggest the Next Question keeps an exploration going; Sanity Check Before Numbers checks the data before you act on a number.
The Mind already holds a card with that template's name: names are unique within a Mind, so the template is hidden. Your search text can also filter the list, and a search hides Blank card until your text matches it. Clear Search templates... to see everything again.
Yes. A template card is Persistent and arrives Enabled, so the Mind follows it straight away. To review it first, open the card, switch it to Disabled and save.
Yes. It is an ordinary training card from then on: edit its content, name, tags and type, and save. See Train a Mind with training cards.
Swarm switched on for the Mind in its AI Config tab. The template verifies every substantive answer with five independent swarm sub-agents. If swarm is not available in a conversation, the Mind says so and answers once with extra self-checking.
Yes. Right-click the folder, choose New card from template…, and the card is created inside it.
Blank card means no template: it behaves like Add Card. The gallery closes and a new card starts in place, where you type the name and press Enter. Unlike a template card, it starts Disabled, so it stays out of the Mind's answers until you write it and enable it.
No. The dialog cannot be closed while the card is being created. Wait a moment: it closes itself and opens the card in the editor.
A message explains the reason, or the fallback Could not create the training card. appears. Check the message and pick the template again.
