In DataMind Oda, every task starts in a chat. Your chats are listed in the sidebar, grouped by workspace. Search them with Ctrl K, and pin, rename or archive a chat from its menu.
The model picker in the message box shows the model of the chat. Kartlos Standard is the default; choose Kartlos Premium for complex tasks, or another model your company offers. Effort sets how long the model thinks before it answers: higher effort suits complex tasks, lower effort answers faster.
To choose which models appear in the model picker, open Settings > Models.
Type / in the message box to see the commands and your skills:
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/ | Turns plan mode on or off. |
/ | Sets or shows the goal of a long-running task. |
/ | Changes the model of this chat. |
/ | Changes the access mode. |
/ | Shortens the older part of a long chat so Oda can keep going. |
/ | Downloads the chat log as a ZIP file. |
Type @ to point Oda at a file or folder of the workspace, or at an earlier chat.
In plan mode, Oda first explores the task, then shows its plan in a Plan review card before it changes anything. Click Approve to let it carry out the plan, or Request changes to say what to change. Use it for larger tasks, where you want to agree on the approach first.
Turn it on with /. While it is on, a Plan chip shows in the message box: click it, or type
/ again, to turn it off.
A goal keeps Oda working on one objective over many rounds, until the goal is met or it needs you. Set
it with /. The goal pill shows the progress, and you can Pause and Resume it. When it is
done, the pill reads Goal met.
Ask a question that needs current information, for example Find this week's news about our industry and summarise it. Oda searches the web, reads the pages it needs and answers with the sources it used. Searches and page reads go through your company's DataMind OS.
For pages you want to work on together, open the side panel and choose Browser: a browser you and Oda share.
Your administrator decides whether Oda may use the browser and which sites it may open there. A site outside those rules shows This site is blocked by your organization's browser rules.
Point to an earlier message to Edit it or Rewind to here, or retry an answer. To also undo the file changes, turn on Restore files Oda changed after this message. Changes made by shell commands, memory, skills and scheduled tasks, and files changed outside Oda, are not restored.
You can share a read-only copy of a chat with colleagues in your company, who can continue the work in their own Oda. Sharing needs the Share DataMind Oda Chats permission.
Files are shared as they are. Personal data in local files is not masked. Check the files before you include them.
The share is a copy of the chat at that moment. To add newer messages and files, open Share… again and click Update share. Stop sharing ends access for everyone.
Chats shared with you appear under Shared with me. Open one to read it, or click Continue in my Oda to copy it with its files into a workspace you choose and carry the work on.
Yes. Press Stop in the message box. To stop everything that is running, use Stop all in the Activity tab of the side panel.
Every model can read only so much text at once. Oda shortens the older part of a long chat
automatically, or when you run /, and keeps working with the summary.
Yes. Add files to the message, or point Oda at files in the workspace with @.
Sign in on the page in the side panel browser yourself, then let Oda continue.
No. You can share only with users and roles of your company's DataMind OS.
Yes. To keep Oda off the browser for a task, say so in your message, for example Use web search only, not the browser.
