Bundled skills come with Oda itself, and you use them like any other skill. Oda can load one on its own when a task matches its description, and you can run one yourself by typing / and its name.
| Skill | What it does |
|---|---|
skill-authoring | Guidance for writing, testing, finding and installing skills. Oda follows it when you ask it to build or install a skill, and you can run it yourself. |
office-docx | Writing guidance for Word documents, including reports, letters and formatted tables. |
office-pptx | Writing guidance for PowerPoint presentations, including slide text, tables, images and charts. |
office-xlsx | Writing guidance for Excel workbooks, including cell values, formulas and formatting. |
datamind-badge | The optional badge for content made with Oda: the official "powered by DataMind" badge. Off by default. |
skill-authoring is the guidance Oda works from when you ask it to build a skill or install one
from the web, a folder or a . file. It covers how a good skill is written, tested and
installed, and you can run it yourself with /.
The rules it applies are the same ones your own skills follow, such as a short lowercase name that becomes the command. The full format is in Skill files and folders.
The three Office skills carry Oda's authoring guidance for Word, PowerPoint and Excel files. Each one brings the rules for building its kind of file and its own checking tool, so the checks work wherever the app is installed, including in folders whose paths contain non-Latin characters.
What Oda can do with these files, and what the checks cover, is in Working with Office documents.
The badge is an optional bundled skill. It is switched off by default; once it is switched on, it
becomes available like any other bundled skill. It appears in your / menu as /,
and Oda adds the official "powered by DataMind" badge when you ask for it.
The badge comes in one design: it keeps its small size (121 by 20 pixels), and its colour, logo and label are not replaced.
No. Bundled skills are not inside your skills folder, so they cannot be changed or removed. Skills you add yourself are managed in Settings > Skills (The skill library).
Type / in the message box to see the commands and your skills, then pick one, or type its name
directly, for example /. Oda also loads a bundled skill by itself when your task
matches its description. The details are in Using skills.
It carries the guidance Oda uses when you ask it to build a skill or install one from the web, a
folder or a . file, and you can run it yourself with /.
The badge is off by default. Once it is switched on, it becomes available like any other bundled skill.
No. It comes in one design and one small size, 121 by 20 pixels, and its colour, logo and label are fixed.
Yes. The Office skills and their checking tool work from folders whose names use non-Latin characters.
They come with the app, and Oda reads each one fresh every time it loads it, so the bundled skills stay in step with your copy of Oda.
Bundled skills come with Oda and stay as they are. Your own skills live in your skills folder, where you can add, change and manage them (The skill library). In a chat both kinds work the same way.
