This section answers the questions administrators actually ask while installing and running a DataMind OS deployment with the DataMind Installer. Every answer leads with the direct answer, then gives the command, the file path or the procedure. Where the honest answer is "that is not the Installer's job", the page says so and points at the component that does own the task.
Each answer is a self-contained card. Configuration values, file paths and commands are written exactly as they appear in the product, so you can copy them.
| Topic page | Answers questions about |
|---|---|
| Installation and setup | Prerequisites, the first install, the shared Docker network and the first login |
| Configuration and variables | Which values you can rotate, which you must never change, and what a change does to a running deployment |
| Updates and versions | Updating DataMind OS and the Installer itself, downtime, rollback and version identity |
| Access and security | Who should hold Installer access, how accounts work, and the risk carried by its host privileges |
| Logs and diagnostics | Where the logs are, how to read them, and what to collect for support |
| Certificates and TLS | Who owns TLS, how a replacement certificate takes effect, and how to verify one |
| Data and backups | What the Installer stores, what is irreplaceable, and how to back up and restore |
| Miscellaneous | Deployment targets, evaluation installs, restricted networks, licensing and hand-edited files |
These answers deliberately stay short. Each one links to the detailed page for the full procedure — for example Logs for log retention and rotation, or Updates for the complete update runbook.
The links in this section point at the detailed pages in the same product section. If a page is not available yet, the answer here still stands on its own.
Start with these if you are new to the DataMind Installer, or if something is on fire.
