Configuration
Everything the DataMind Installer lets you configure: the environment reference, the service catalog, secrets, what is safe to rotate and the files it owns on the host.
- Environment variables — Complete reference of every environment variable the DataMind Installer reads, with type, default, whether it is required, and the effect of changing it.
- Service catalog — How the DataMind Installer builds the service catalog for a deployment, where it comes from, how services are grouped and targeted, and how it relates to the compose files on disk.
- Secrets — How the DataMind Installer generates, stores, masks and injects secrets, which values the operator supplies, and what never appears in an environment file.
- Rotating values — Which DataMind Installer values are safe to change, which have side effects, and which must never change after install — with the procedure and verification for each.
- Compose files and files on disk — The files the DataMind Installer owns and writes on the host, which are overwritten by an update, and where local edits are lost or safe.
