This release introduces a new Observability module, smarter SQL suggestions in the Query Editor, expanded Data Lake capabilities, and workflow reliability improvements.
Workflow
- Automatic "Restart Count": The workflow's run list now shows how many times each job has restarted.
- Auto-Recovery: When a job fails, the workflow retries it automatically until the configured retry limit is reached.
- Monitoring: Added Workflow Status History Diagram and System Trace for detailed breakdown and active monitoring.
Observability (New Module)
System Overview
Added a Task Manager-like interactive view reflecting the system's working history, including RSS (RAM), Cache, and CPU metrics.
Query Management
- Detailed History: Ultimate breakdown of queries run by different users across different dates and times.
- Advanced Filtering: Users can now apply multiple filter combinations to track queries running within specific time ranges.
Query Editor
- SQL completion and suggestions: The query editor now suggests SQL as you write, helping users build queries faster and more comfortably. See Running queries.
- Smart Aggregations: New functionality added below the editor selection to automatically generate aggregate queries and charts based on the written query.
Data Lake
- Custom Tap: Now users can create their own custom connectors to import data from various external sources.
- Diagrams Updates: Users can now create custom diagrams to diversify datasource objects and their relationships (Note: relationships in Data Lake are purely informational).
Tables in Data Lake
- Dependants Tab: A new tab showing exactly what depends on a specific table within the platform.
- Table Tab (AI Primary Key): Users can now utilize the "AI Primary Key" functionality when connecting sources where uniqueness is unknown or a primary key is intrinsically absent.
Global Updates
- Global Pop-ups: Pop-up notifications and prompts are now globally active seamlessly across all different spaces of DataMind OS.
