2026.01
This release adds MongoDB and Amazon Athena data sources, a reworked Lake workspace, refreshed connection forms, clearer Mind chats, exports that keep numbers as numbers, and job-failure notifications.
Lake & Connectors
- MongoDB data source: Connect MongoDB as a source, with automatic discovery of its collections and fields.
- Amazon Athena data source: Connect AWS Athena with a username, password, region, and an S3 output location.
- Reworked Lake workspace: The Lake menu, data source list, and page layout were rebuilt for a cleaner workspace.
- Refreshed connection forms: Every data source connection form was restyled for a consistent, more readable layout.
Minds
- Chat minimap: Long conversations gain a scrollbar that marks every message and branch, so you can jump to any point.
- Mind description on hover: Hover a Mind's name in a chat or the Mind switcher to read its description.
- AI settings save only changes: Editing a Mind's AI configuration now writes just the fields you changed, so its settings stay put.
- Clearer chart errors: When a chart's data can't be rendered, it shows a clear "Unable to render chart" message with a copy-details option instead of breaking the answer.
Warehouse & Tables
- Conversation views, visible to the AI: Views created during a Mind conversation now appear in the lists of databases and tables the AI works with, so it can describe and reuse them.
- Numbers export as numbers: Exported CSV and Excel files keep numeric and decimal values as numbers, and handle commas, quotes, and line breaks correctly.
Security & Access
- Viewer permissions for Minds: New "Minds Viewer" and "Training Cards Viewer" permissions grant read-only access to Minds and their training cards.
- Accurate permission display: The permission tree no longer shows duplicate child permissions, and a role's permission count is now correct.
Admin
- Responsive configuration: The admin Configuration page now adapts to smaller screens.
Notifications
- Job-failure alerts: Add notification integrations - email, Slack, Discord, and Google Chat - and DataMind alerts your team when a job fails.
- Choose who gets alerted: Set alert recipients at the workflow level and at the individual alert level from a dedicated alert-management view.
Writeback
- Live ETL log: While a writeback sync runs, the ETL log refreshes on its own, so new entries appear without a manual refresh.
